More than kicking the soccer ball...

For about 3 years now, God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve him as director of Escuela Formativa de Futbol (Soccer School ministry). But now God has placed the desire to do more than just that....more than kicking the soccer ball...but to begin the process of attending a University.

In 2010 I started taking classes at a University, but was unable to continue after four months because of finances. Since my mother is a single mom and has my two other siblings still in school, paying for college unfortunately is something she's unable to do. But after these years, God has reignited the fire to go to school and receive my degree. I know that if it's what the Lord places in my heart, He will be faithful to provide.

Recently I went to the open house of the College I want to go to and it was wonderful. I really loved it and think it will be a great fit. Marketing is what I want to study and it should take me about 5 years to complete the entire program. Part of this program also requires that we learn English. Universidad Don Bosco is one of the better ones here in El Salvador and is located in Soyapango (same city as the mission house)! 

            It’s only by God’s grace to even be able to have this opportunity before me and Im grateful for this new dream He has given me. This opportunity, however, is something that I can not do alone. As well as praying, I want to present the opportunity to you to bless my life and the efforts of achieving this goal with me.

             My financial need to pay for tuition, food, and transportation at school would be about 150$ per month. Also, every 6 months (when the new cycle begins) we are required to pay fees (such as lab/computer fees) of 250$.
